Green Veggies Kabab - Hara Bhara Kabab


This dish is commonly called as ‘Hari Bhari Seek Kabab’ or ‘Hara Bhara Kabab’. In this dish the main ingredients are green capsicum and green peas. As we all know capsicum is mainly produced in capital city of Himachal Pradesh. Although capsicum is widely used in green veggies yet with using this you can also make starter or snack. Let’s have a look to its recipe-

 

Prep Time: 11-15 minutes

Cooking Time: 5-7 minutes

Level of Cooking: Moderate
Taste: Spicy with mild in flavor
Ingredients used-

Green capsicum 1 medium size
Green peas 1 ¼ cups
Spinach leaves Boiled and finely chopped 500gms
Mint leaves chopped 8-10
Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons
Cumin seeds ½ teaspoons
Green chili finely chopped 3 (you can add more if you like spicy)
Ginger chopped 1 tablespoon
Potato boiled, peeled and grated 1 large size
Turmeric Powder ¼ teaspoon
Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
Bread Crumbs 1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Chaat Masala to sprinkle
Oil 1 tablespoon

Method of Preparation:-
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and sauté for a while. Dessed capsicum and roughly chop. 

Add ginger and green chilis into and leave for few minutes. Now add capsicum into it and sauté for two minutes.

Add spinach, chopped mint, green peas, chopped coriander, turmeric powder and salt to pan. Mix well all the materials till the mixture is dry.

Transfer cooked mixture in grinder jar and grind into a smooth paste. Transfer into a bowl.
Heat sufficient amount of oil in kadai. 

Add 2 tablespoons bread crumbs, cornstarch and grated potato in ground paste mixture and mix them well. 

Take ¼ tablespoon bread crumbs on a separate plate and spread it.
Divide cooked mixture into equal portions and make them size of kabab. Roll all kababs on bread crumbs one by one.

Deep fry all the kababs till golden brown appears. Drain on absorbent paper.
Transfer kababs on a plate and sprinkle few amount of chaat masala. Serve hot with green chutney or sauce.
